Tim Van den Bergh is a seasoned leader in travel and e-commerce, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Sunweb Group, where he oversees the commercial strategy for the company’s sun- and ski-holiday portfolio across seven European markets. With more than 25 years of experience—beginning as co-founder of the travel and events agency GlobEvents, which merged into Sunweb Group in 2015—Tim has played a pivotal role in the company’s digital transformation. He is a passionate advocate of “brandformance”: the belief that strong brand equity creates the demand that performance marketing efficiently converts. His brand-first philosophy consistently delivers higher conversion rates, lower CPAs, and stronger customer loyalty by pairing emotionally resonant storytelling with rigorous measurement. Tim is deeply committed to enhancing customer experiences through digital innovation, with a strong focus on user-centric design, personalized offerings, and seamless online journeys. This dedication positions him as a thought leader at the intersection of travel, brand marketing, and e-commerce. Beyond his responsibilities at Sunweb Group, Tim is Chairman of the Board of the Association of Belgian Travel Organisers (ABTO), where he leverages his expertise to benefit the broader travel community. Based in the village of Hove near Antwerp, Tim shares life’s adventures with his wife Anaïs and their two children, Amélie (5) and Luka (2). A music-loving foodie, he enjoys discovering new breakfast spots with his family and recharges through ski-touring escapes and city explorations—often to the soundtrack of anything from Jack Johnson’s mellow acoustics to AC/DC’s electrifying riffs.
