David Lewis

David has nearly a decade of SEO experience. He joined Trainline from Air Charter Service six and a half years ago, as part of their growing SEO team to specialise in Technical SEO. He quickly established himself as the in-house expert on JavaScript SEO, crawling and site speed. In 2020, he was recognised for this contribution to growth both professionally and personally by being promoted to Technical SEO Manager. In early 2022, David achieved a career milestone and was promoted to Head of SEO.

David is responsible for setting Trainline Group’s SEO strategy at a global level and leads the SEO team as well as the dedicated engineering squad based out of offices across Europe. He is also one of the leaders helping drive cross-functional growth between teams and channels across the business and is often held up as an example of continued personal development.

He is a keen speaker and likes to give back to the Search community - as a result he has spoken at SEO events including brightonSEO, LondonSEO, Search London and Botify Connect. Outside of work David loves working out in the gym, playing guitar, meditating, and travelling the world.
