David has a decade of SEO experience. He joined Trainline from Air Charter Service seven and a half years ago, as part of their growing SEO team to specialise in Technical SEO. He quickly established himself as the in-house expert on JavaScript SEO, crawling and site speed. In 2020, he was recognised for this contribution to growth both professionally and personally by being promoted to Technical SEO Manager. In early 2022, David achieved a career milestone and was promoted to Head of SEO. Earlier this year David re-branded the team from SEO to Organic Search as a result of the fast moving evolution of AI Search. David is responsible for setting Trainline Group’s Organic Search strategy at a global level and leads the team as well as the dedicated engineering squad based out of offices across Europe. He is also one of the leaders helping drive cross-functional growth between teams and channels across the business and is often held up as an example of continued personal development. He is a keen speaker and likes to give back to the Search community - as a result he has spoken at SEO events including brightonSEO, LondonSEO, Search London, Botify Connect and Similarweb UK Customer Forum, as well as judging the UK Search Awards. Outside of work David loves working out in the gym, playing guitar, meditating, and travelling the world.
